Cloudy at Home

FASHIONCLASH Festival, Maastricht, NL, 2021

New Fashion Narratives

Created during lockdown, ‘Cloudy at Home’ contains a variety of ‘accessories’ from a phone, headphones, a bikini to a handbag transformed from the most ordinary household items.

Hoping to bring light and humour in the midst of a pandemic, these objects are a surreal take and a documentation of intimacy between us and our everyday-but-overlooked objects at home.

Traveller’s essentials

‘Poundland’ is a surreal take on a nomad’s journey and a reconstruction of their travel essentials. No matter how far they travel, they bring with them a ‘taste of home’ - a variety of accessories put together using a collection of seemingly incompatible household objects, fabricated into colourful new constructions whilst allowing their intrinsic beauty to take form.

15 belongings

A watch, a purse, a toothbrush, headphones, earrings, bikini, sunglasses, a hat, a mask, sandals, a phone, a handbag, an umbrella, a suitcase, a map

STATE OF FASHION BIENNALE 2022

Promenade on Slow Street

For Promenade on Slow Street, Clara has designed an interactive installation to give participants the opportunity to engage in redesigning the way they would like to interact with their shopping streets and community spaces to allow for a more inclusive and regenerative fashion system.

This intervention is a walk into a near future scenario, where the high street is about relationships and social interaction rather than simply commerce and product. This installation as a ‘living sculpture’ will capture the existing ‘slow street’ initiatives in the city of Arnhem, mapped by Ruimtekoers. Visitors can interact with the living sculpture to leave their ideas and inspirations throughout the biennial. The promenades of the modular section into the street will encourage further interaction.

This is how you build the main street of the future !

Show that you participated and take a picture with your favourite block !

Question 1 - Describe in 1 word what value you find important for the slow street of the future.

Question 2 - Which honest product would you like to buy in the slow street of the future?

Question 3 - What is your idea for a new fair and sustainable Arnhem store concept?
